This page explains how to delete your CatchMap account and the data associated with it. CatchMap is a fishing logbook and marketplace app.
Delete your account (in the app)
The fastest way — takes effect immediately:
- Open CatchMap (or go to catchmap.vercel.app) and log in.
- Go to Settings (menu → Settings).
- Scroll to Delete account and tap “Delete my account.”
- Confirm. Your account and data are permanently removed right away.
Request deletion by email
Can't access your account? Email invvoo@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request.” We'll verify ownership and delete it within 30 days.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can remove individual items yourself while keeping your account: edit or delete any catch from its page, remove saved rig setups, or cancel meetups you created. To have specific data deleted for you, email invvoo@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request” describing what you'd like removed.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile (name, email, bio)
- All your catches, photos, and GPS locations
- Your logbook and saved rig setups
- Your messages and the meetups you created
- Your marketplace listing
What may be kept, and for how long
- Payment records: if you bought or sold a logbook, our payment processor Stripe retains transaction records as required by financial and tax law. This data stays with Stripe, not in the app, and is governed by Stripe's own retention policies.
- Backups & logs: residual copies may persist in routine encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten.
